This weekly posting is brought to you by the numbers 2 and 4. We would also like to give a shout out to the words ‘ink‘ and ‘door‘. And by door, I mean garage door. Woo!
So, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty.
Michael started on his work bench today by cutting and constructing with two by fours.
I decided to work on my sketches with some India ink instead of sharpie markers today and I’m really happy with the results. I may do a little more like this more often!
We have a second estimate coming tomorrow for a new garage door. Once the new garage door is in we can arrange for an electrician to come out to set up electric for the kiln!
See?? Two, Four, Ink & Door !
I love the smell of progress in the morning… right after we have our coffee….
So last weekend, Michael and I went adventuring around town. We started with a lovely breakfast at Foxtail Coffee in Winter Park. Wow! They have amazing brews, hot and cold. They actually have cold brew coffee on tap. That’s right, I said on tap. We highly recommend trying it out.
Our adventure took us to Rockler in Altamonte Springs to pick up some additional supplies for the work bench. They have a nifty collection of exotic woods and I picked up some scraps to use for making catchy-looking displays for pottery. After there we went to Woodcraft and we both geeked out some more. (Like totally…) On the way home we stopped at Art Systems.
It was a fabulous Sunday jaunt.
We’re not exactly sure yet how these wood scraps will come into play, but we have a little time to continue playing with them like legos. Well, I should say it was *me* playing with them like legos. Oh, and check out that pretty piece in the bottom right corner… gorgeous after a little tlc and clear shellac. Thank you Love!!! ❤
So the next big step is having the new garage door installed, which should happen in the next week or two. I’ll know by the end of tomorrow.
As always, thank you for checking out our site. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
Have a great week!
